Documentary Motion Graphic Title Sequence

Motion graphic title sequence from the acclaimed documentary "A Day in the Life of Lolita" using archival photographs of the Penn Cove Capture of 1970. Photographs courtesy of Terrell Newby and Wallie Funk.

The only source material of this event that were made available to the filmmakers were archival photographs.  To recreate the mood of what has been described as a brutal and barbarous event, the photos were animated and light leaks added.  The transitions between photos were created to appear as 35mm stills on a contact sheet that were quickly being viewed.
